The ESFA
The ESFA brings together the former responsibilities of the Education Funding Agency (EFA) and Skills Funding Agency (SFA). There are many qualifications eligible for ESFA funding in 2017-18. Please check the ESFA Hub for qualification funding information. For AEB funding rules and for learner eligibility criteria, please refer to the ESFA’s funding rules.
Advanced Learner Loans
The Government has introduced a package of measures to support both learners and providers with Advanced Learner Loans and is providing a £50m bursary fund to support vulnerable learners with additional costs related to learning. Support is available from the Education and Skills Funding Agency, the National Careers Service, the Gov.uk website and Student Finance England. Centres should check the latest version of the Funding Rules for further information about Advanced Learner Loans.
